API Users

When you use the LocalPro API, we collect:

• API key — used for authentication and rate limiting
• Request metadata — IP address, timestamp, endpoint called, query parameters
• Email address — if you register for an API key

We do not collect personal data from end users of your application. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on the API.

Website Visitors

This website (localpro.dev) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which collects anonymous page view data without cookies or personal identifiers. No third-party trackers are present.

Provider Data

LocalPro serves business directory data about local service providers. This data includes publicly available business information: business names, cities, states, service categories, ratings, and certifications. Contact details (phone, email, address) are available only on the respective directory listing pages, not through the API.

Provider data is sourced from public records, business websites, Google Places API, Yellow Pages, EPA databases, and franchise directories. All data concerns businesses operating in a commercial capacity, not private individuals.

How We Use Data

• API request logs are used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and service improvement
• Email addresses are used only for API key management and service announcements
• We do not sell personal data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising

Data Retention

• API request logs: 90 days
• Email addresses: until you request deletion or your API key is revoked
• Provider data: maintained indefinitely as part of the directory database

Your Rights

Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:

• Request access to personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of any marketing communications

Business owners: If your business appears in our directory and you wish to update or remove your listing, contact will@localpro.dev or claim your listing on the relevant directory site.

LocalPro provider data is compiled from:

• Google Places API (business listings, ratings, reviews)
• Yellow Pages (business directory data)
• EPA RRP database (lead-safe certified contractors)
• Franchise and dealer networks (Penntek, Basement Systems, Orenco, etc.)
• Business websites (enriched via automated extraction)
• Brave Search API (web discovery for independent operators)
